Robert Holden
Artist Bob Holden’s work is part of the collection at P.H. Studio & Miller Gallery. His traditional still life paintings are solid and give credit to their Dutch still life roots. Although they are firmly planted in traditional painting, Holden’s canvases display an immediate looseness at times that is quite contemporary. Holden lives and works in NYC ; his work is a gentle and thoughtful reminder of the history of the still life. Lush fruits and flowers tumble from vessels and seem lost in time. The artist has exhibited throughout NYC, at the Salmagundi Club and is affiliated with the Art Student’s League. His work can be viewed as part of the regular inventory at P.H. Miller Studio.
