Thomas Adkins
Adkins is an American realist painter residing in Southbury, CT. The artist is a graduate of Paier College of Art, New Haven and had also completed studies at the School of Visual Arts, NYC.
Highly collectable, Adkins’ work depicts the New England countryside in all of its seasonal, poetic glory. Adkins works on sight for many of his paintings; preferring to experience the natural elements in the field whenever possible. The artist employs several under painting techniques to obtain the complex color and light of the atmosphere and foliage. The work of Mr. Adkins is sure to become an American Classic, his paintings are part of the regular collection at the P.H. Miller Studio & Gallery.
