The P.H. Miller Studio creates one-of-a-kind, handmade carved and gilded frames for works of fine art in all mediums. Peter H. Miller, owner and frame-maker, takes inspiration from tradition, history, and art, while also focusing on the ideals of the European Arts & Crafts movement. Those ideals, the idea of the master craftsman creating and finishing all parts of a design, combined with the anti-industrialization movement of the same period, are wholly reflected in the signed P.H. Miller Studio frames. The unique designs, hand carved details, meticulous gilding, and the artful toning techniques seen in these frames are what defines P.H. Miller Studio.

As you explore the Handmade Gilded Frames, Mirrors, and Restoration pages of our website, we hope to make you aware of the frame-making, gilding (gold leafing), mirror design, and restoration services offered by the P. H. Miller Studio. The P. H. Miller Studio is located in Woodbury, CT., the Antique Capital of Connecticut and at the gateway of Litchfield County. For over 25 years, Peter H. Miller has been involved in the creation, fabrication and restoration of exquisitely gilded and carved handmade picture frames. The P. H. Miller Studio offers art collectors the opportunity to present and preserve their fine original paintings, etchings, and drawings in traditionally crafted handmade frames.
We invite you to return to our site often. We will keep up to date postings of Studio events and exciting, newly completed handmade frames on the mirror, studio frame, and portfolio pages. We are available in the studio, by e-mail and phone, (203)263-3939, or on site for gilding, restoration, mirror design, and frame-making services.
